Working hours, leave & safety

Rules the factory
follows, in writing.

Working hours, overtime, leave entitlements, fire safety and power continuity are run to Bangladesh government guidelines and disclosed here the same way they're disclosed to compliance auditors.

Working time

48 hours a week, six days, one hour for lunch.

Applies to everyone except drivers and guards. Weekly and public holidays follow Bangladesh government guidelines. Overtime is capped and never compulsory — workers may refuse it without penalty, punishment or dismissal.

Wage transparency

A pay-period slip is issued to every worker two days before payday, itemising days worked, overtime hours and rate per hour, attendance bonus, and the grand total — so nobody is reconciling a wage statement on payday itself.

Maximum working hours: 10/day · 60/week

Leave entitlement

What every worker is owed, on paper.

10days
Casual leave

Full pay.

15days
Festival leave

Half pay.

6+6weeks
Maternity leave

Full pay before and after delivery, at average daily earning, for staff employed at least 9 months prior to the delivery date.

As needed
Emergency leave

Assessed case by case, with particular consideration for new workers.

Fire fighting

Equipment staged where it's needed, before it's needed.

Fire is treated as the single most devastating risk to human life on a factory floor, so the system is run entirely within the framework of the relevant international safety act. Fire-fighting equipment is staged at points of likely emergency for immediate support, and a fire alarm system runs across the whole project as an early-warning trigger — and as a call for external support the moment it's needed.

Power house

24-hour self-generated power, independent of the grid.

An unreliable power supply doesn't just stop machines — it drags down morale on the floor and shows up twice over in lost output. Given the national grid's known gaps, the factory keeps a complete power supply unit under its own control: generator capacity sized to run the entire project around the clock, so production schedules aren't hostage to the local grid.
